My Fit Challenge was started as a way to track my personal weight loss achievement. Like most Americans I found myself 10+ pounds heavier than my recommended and desired weight, but a busy schedule has kept me from fitting an exorcise regiment into my daily routine.
During a discussion about allergies, I was instructed to get a blood test to see if I have any allergies or food sensitivities. To my surprise I found out that I have a food sensitivity to: milk, eggs, and wheat, all the things that were in my diet.
I have also had psoriasis on my elbows since I was 5, and it started showing up in other places in the past 4 years, most notably on my knuckles. I found that there was a link between auto-immune diseases and our diets. Further research, and going to school to be a chiropractor, has introduced me to the genetic component that says in a nutshell, “Everyone’s body is different. What works for one person, may not work for another.”
I implore everyone to do research, and test different methods and hypothesis on their own body to find what works best for them as an individual.
